HATS – A Fine Art
208 pages | Hardcover | 203 × 254 mm | ISBN 978-0-646-71999-3
Some projects arrive already wearing their heart on their sleeve. This was one of them.
Award-winning Canberra-region milliner Cynthia Jones-Bryson had spent decades transforming fine materials and traditional techniques into wearable works of art. Hats – A Fine Art was her opportunity to share that creative world — the inspirations, the philosophy, the mastery behind the moment — and Design Edge was honoured to help bring it to life.
The brief called for a book design worthy of its subject: lavish but considered, beautiful but readable. The result is a 208-page hardcover that moves through Cynthia’s practice with the same care she brings to each piece — letting the photography breathe, the craft speak, and the story unfold without fuss.
Alongside the book, Design Edge designed Cynthias logo and built the accompanying website at www.cynthiahats.com — an online home for both the book and Cynthia’s extraordinary millinery collection, including individual product descriptions written to match the voice and elegance of the work itself.
… she is one of the most creative and innovative hat designers in years!
